Nuevo (lancashire) on fiat chassis
Saw this on a trip to Preston yesterday. Is it a rarity or one of the very first Nuevos ? All salesmen were busy so I couldn't ask about it.

Perhaps Peter can enlighten us. Looks more genuine than this one on Ebay...

Re: Nuevo (lancashire) on fiat chassis
AS themselves only ever built 6 Broadway's on Fiat Chassis about 5 -6 years ago. The Lancashire is a special build for Marquis but I have no knowledge of them ever being built on Fiat.
Two things. Look for the AS build number in the glove box and ask the salesman for the full service documentation from delivery.
I don't think Marquis would try and sell a 'ringer' and they are asking full price so it will be very interesting to hear if someone follows through.

Mine is an 06 Lancashire and is a peugeot, didn't think that they built on Fiat as I would loved to have bought one with a auto gearbox (still would)

Another interesting Fiat claimed A/S. Glove box job no will no doubt give some clues. The graphics are certainly strange, even if it is a Marquis model based on the Nuevo. I'd want to see the A/S build certificate.

That one certainly looks a bit odd and with a silver cab

I sent an Ebay question to seller saying 'you claim full service history, what is the history of the body being transplanted to a different cab?'.
The only reply I got was 'For more in for phone xxxxxxx' That is exactly the spelling used.
Do you remember a Duetto either last year or year before that had some sort of electrical fire and panels had been stripped out - this was the same seller as that one?

Crash Damaged?
Maybe a crash damaged one with second hand parts harvested off a Fiat version of what is basically the same vehicle. Poor panel fit certainly gives that impression?oldfred wrote:Saw this on a trip to Preston yesterday. Is it a rarity or one of the very first Nuevos ? Re: Nuevo (lancashire) on fiat chassis
If i remember rightly, when AS dipped their toes in the rental market, they used a range of vans badged as "Vivante" and i am sure they were on a Fiat base with a lighter spec. They all had purple/blue graphics with big sweeps on them.
Marquis at Preston certainly had similar models, and I am sure the Dorset/Sussex swb/mwb, evolved from these with same fabric, and no black panels on the side. There was 100% - a purple Sussex with alloy wheels there that was on a Fiat base. May even have a pic somewhere as we almost bought it.
