Hello from John
Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a fairly elderly (s reg) Autosleeper Peugot Boxer Harmony with a 2 litre diesel engine. The garage selling it are in my village and they have serviced it annually for the last ten years. Superficially it looks in good nick (e.g. bodywork and internal fittings) though upholstery a bit tired.
I am keen to use it as a base for travelling to hill walking areas throughout the UK.
At this stage I'm not even sure what all the model terms mean - particularly 'Harmony' - are they all called this or does it indicate a particular trim/ equipment level?
We are keen to get a van which is affordable for us; as small as possible with a toilet, and reliable.
We were going to hire a van at Easter but now thinking about asking the garage if we could try this one out for a weekend for a nominal payment.
Look forward to getting involved in the forum,
Many regards
John

Re: Hello from John
Welcome from N.E Wales
As regards the model, the Harmony was built on the SWB Boxer whereas its sister the Symphony was built on the MWB (about 8 inches longer). The Harmony has two rear forward facing seats as opposed to the Symphony 1 rear front facing & side settee. I believe the Harmony does not have an oven, just two rings and grill. I'm sure someone will correct me if I've got any of that wrong.

Re: Hello from John
John,
Welcome from what has been a dull day in Skegness.
All I will say about the motorhome is:
o AutoSleepers have a record of excellence for building motorhomes; so check that it is a genuine AS.
o With the kind of "pedigree" you describe I and many others on the Forum would buy it if:
a) It was what we wanted. and
b) The price was right.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Ian (owner of an "S" registered Duetto)
