Hello folks,
I think this has been mentioned before but cant find the thread. The front decal needs to be replaced, the green is ok but the gold and red overlay are required and I want to keep the van original. I know Autosleeper cant help so I thought I would ask here, I think "Modelman" knows where to source the stripes or can anybody else help.
Limping about after my knee operation, so in the spring I would like to replace it.
Best regards, Mike

Re: Stripes
Thanks for the info Dutto, that's great. My stripes are gold, red Burgundy? and white and my main problem was the decal above the windscreen.
The Green looks ok. I will try to get a closeup on the stripes tomorrow, hopefully I can get them off and leave the green behind.
Best regards, Mike

Re: Stripes
Hi, I did this same project on my camper last year, I purchased the gold, red , gold from auto sleepers, removed the old stripes which were looking tatty
with a hairdryer , too cool it wont help, too hot and it makes it harder to lift but once you get it right you should be able to lift a few inches at a time by moving
the hairdryer as you are pulling.
once removed I used meths carefully to remove any left glue residue I put the stripes on full length from end to end and applied pressure with my finger to get
a good adhesion and finally I used the green stripe as a guide to cut out the stripes to match if you don't apply pressure first as you are cutting with the Stanley
knife you can see the stripe shrink back a little.
takes a while but well worth it.
regards Pat

I don't know the answer I'm afraid, but take a look here...

and maybe give them a call. They posted a couple of years ago on another forum that they had (or could produce) AutoSleeper decals.

Re: Stripes
If your font is the same as mine, I will cut you a set if you like.

Re: Stripes
Yep, no probs, but I need to know how many, & the wording, i.e. is there an 'Autosleeper/s'
I assume they are like mine & a 'maroon' colour.
Overall width dims as well.

Hello
I renewed the stripes on my frisky that look simulair to yours. I went to a printing company who took a photo then scanned it and was able to print out a complete set of one piece stripes (all colours on one strip) for the whole van. It saved a lot of work and time as it is one whole piece not several small ones. they aslo did the A/S badge for the front.

Re: Stripes
Thanks for that, I have not contacted AS yet but you idea seems the perfect answer as the decal will be flat to the front of the roof with no protrusions, well only one.
Best regards. Mike
