Hello I am a new member!
Hi we have our first ever camper van, bought in November but a wee bit cold to use it as yet! We are sure we will love it, but our main worry is getting parts. The interior light has just gone and it's a sealed unit. have tried autosleepers for a few things but they keep saying they don't stock for that year, she is 1994. Any tips appreciated and we look forward to being helpful if we can too, especially on what to do in Orkney where we live. Looking forward to being a polite and active member.

Welcome from N.E Wales
I think most light fittings used around that year were standard caravan ones, search Ebay and I'm sure you will find a match.

Thanks for the welcome messages. I have looked on eBay to no avail! The search goes on! Any ideas where I can source the window blinds too some of ours are splitting, any help or pointers are much appreciated.

Hi there,
Welcome from a very damp Skegness.
Cold in the Orkneys at this time of year?? I find that hard to believe!!
If you can't find a replacement light, maybe it's time for change so check out the LED threads.
Best regards,

Yes we may have to do that, just want to keep her as authentic and original as possible. Thanks for the reply.

If I have any luck will let you know, ours is called Matilda, that's what the previous owner called her so we thought it may be bad luck to change it! Hope we can exchange ideas and tips in the future.

Snap! Betty was named by her previous owner and ... well ... you don't change the name of a boat, so ... I very much like Matilda's nameJaney4geoff wrote:If I have any luck will let you know, ours is called Matilda, that's what the previous owner called her so we thought it may be bad luck to change it!
