New or used member!
Fluffles is back.
A big HI to old and new (no insult intended to those oldies who still feel young at heart)
After a spell of poor health, and a change of 'van to a Pug 2.8 HDI Executive ('54 reg) we feel ready to continue.
I have been following many of the topics posted, and wanted to offer my opinion on occasions, so here we are.
Many thanks to those members who remember me of old, and are willing to put up with us and our (plump) Shiz-Tsu.
Fluffles :thanksverymuch

Nice to hear you are well and in possession of a great van Fluffles.
I recently bought the same, in fact the one you have for your avatar.

My apologies for pinching your van!
I downloaded the pictures from the dealer were we made our purchase, but when I viewed them any that contained the front or back of the 'van were taken so as not to show any of the no. plate due to a treasured number that was not included in the sale.
Because the pics of ours didn't look that good, I searched for one that might do our own 'van justice (clever I thought at the time). And I picked the vehicle that came the closet. Now who would have thought it would come and bite me back.
No harm was intended and I apologise sincerely, I have learnt my lesson.
How do you find you 'van? I am finding ours (2.8) a bit sluggish after our previous WV 2.5 tdi (02 plate)

Re: New or used member!
No worries on the Pic Fluff, I am just relieved to hear we have not bought the same van as I not had log book back yet!
Whilst the 2.8 is no race machine it pulls well enough compared to the only vw tdi that I tested (1999 102 bhp). Had a few runs out now and she sits very comfy at 70 or above if needed.
Have a careful look around the main windows for any signs of wateer getting in (rusty screw heads, damp or stained upholstery) as had to re-seal the 3 main windows mine.
Other than that, very happy indeed with my Exec and sure you will be too.

It has taken me sometime, but finally have managed to update our avatar with the correct 'van. Our van.
My apologies again. Apart from performance (or the lack of) great choice of motorhome.
I have fitted a new air cleaner, run it with millers, and driving it a bit harder to try and clear any cobwebs
but still no ball of fire compared to our previous VW.
After some research, I'm going to check Mass air flow thingy. The only problem is I can't find it!
I am suspecting the exhaust as well as it appears original and doesn't sound quite right.
I think I may start a new topic.

PS Still don't seem to have the hang of this quote thingy!
