Hello all Empty Hello all

Post by RichardB Sun Aug 11, 2013 6:37 pm

Hi all.
We have just joined as we are looking to take the plunge with a first motorhome.
We've been interested for a number of years but the cost of vans has prevented us as we needed to sleep 2 young children.

The girls are now older and happy to go in a tent so we have started to look at smaller van conversions that can seat 4 but sleep 2 and easily fit on our drive.

We have viewed a few vans and like the layout of the Autosleeper Harmony which seems to fit all our requirements.
We have seen some older models (J-M reg) and some newer (T-X reg) - its just a case of finding one that looks well kept without having to travel 250+ miles to view it!

I am looking to get something in the next few weeks so we can get a few trips in before winter!

I would welcome any advice and am sure I will have plenty of questions to ask!

Hi Richard & Pamela
Welcome to the forum from Rosemarkie, take a look at Springfield motorhomes in Bridlington, they have a good turn over of campervans and motorhomes.

Hello all Empty Hopefully picking up new van soon!!!

Post by RichardB Tue Aug 13, 2013 5:09 pm

Hi all
Thanks for the welcome and look forward to becoming an active member of the site.

As I said in my first post, we have been looking for a number of years and sort of know what we want.   We have spent the last 5 or 6 days visiting dealers around the area (at least 30 places) and this has now confirmed to us that the van that will meet our needs is an Autosleeper Harmony.

We had been looking at older models on the Talbot Express van but having tried a 1998 version on the Peugeot we decided to up the budget a little and look for something a little newer (N reg onwards).

We've now found a private seller with a 1999 model that from the pictures we have been sent looks really well kept (compared to the ones I have seen in some dealers). As it is located quite a distance away, a provisional offer subject to visual inspection has been made and accepted...

I am trying to arrange around work, my holidays, the sellers holidays, bank holidays, stroppy teenagers and other problems to get down to see it and hopefully drive it home!

More news as it happens!
