Hello ,Already had useful help from fellow members, and realised I had rudely not introduced myself.
I am the proud owner of a high mileage 150000 amethyst. But not complaining
because the price paid reflected this.Am enjoying slowly working thru the various issues with the van
and will shortly be
spending the week in cornwall ,then a week abroad.
regards

WELCOME!

Never worry about "high mileage".

The old adage "if it ain't broke don't fix it" is particularly relevant to old engines - just treat it with respect and enjoy!!

The previous owner unusually used it for both main means of transport and leisure.
But oil changes were done every 6000 miles. The engines A1.

I know a 96 Executive with a similar mileage, possibly higher and it does at least one long trip a year into Europe with no hassel

Hi there,

Sold a boat in May with 6,500 running hour on the clock. Work that out in "miles" at an average of 40mph!!

It was a Mitsubishi diesel and was "perfect".

Best regards,
