Hollowell Steam Rally Northampton.
Hello all.
I'm of to Hollowell Steam Rally in Northampton this weekend. If you have not been to one of these you would be amazed at what there is to do and see at these rallies. Its not all about steam engines as the title suggests. Costs just a little more than stopping on a normal site with all the entertainment thrown in. If you go and see my van with its black cat on the back, stop and say hello. If you are there with an AS I will most likely drop you a forum calling card.

We were at Banbury Steam Rally this weekend (well just Sunday). we didn't stay there, we were at a site just north of Banbury. You are right about these rallies not being just about steam engines. We had a classic car show, classic motorcycles, bikes, tractors, fairground, childrens motorcycle display team (ages 4 to 16) plus all the usual trade stalls, tea and beer tents and of course cracking weather making a great day out. Enjoy your show!

We are off to Hollowell Steam Show this afternoon. Looks to a be glorious weekend for it.
From the video's on Youtube, last years event seemed horrendous with the bad weather.

Uffington show
Why not try The Uffington Show this year which is held over two days on the August bank holiday which falls on the 28th/29th this year. With over 50 m/bikes on the Sunday and 100s of classic cars on the Monday. In the past they have had helicopter rides, the Red Arrows and a historic fly past. fairground rides, bands beer tent, horse shows, eagles and owls, etc and a good pub a short walk away in the village. Uffington is just off the A420 between Oxford and Swindon beneath the Uffington White Horse on the downs. There is camping on a farm beneath White Horse Hill on the B4507
