Neuvo Lancashire EK 2011
Hi, We have just acquired our Neuvo Lancashire ek 2011 that has the Country Leisure Caprice 2040E cooker fitted. It rattles something awful when traveling. We have removed grill pan/shelves etc etc but the same rattle is still there. Has anyone experienced the same or has a fix for it? I think I suspect the gas pipe behind the cooker flapping and banging on the back of the cooker. I have read that this noise is a common problem so would appreciate any suggestions please

Hi
It's the joy of motorhoming. I push foam rubber in the window blinds to get less noise.

You certainly get more tolerant as time goes on.
We use cushions, foam, pegs, non-slip mats, etc, etc
The worst I had on a cooker was from the hinge of a glass splash guard. It was a loose fit metal in metal. I can't remember exactly how I fixed it but I know it was with araldite that I borrowed whilst on a campsite in Eire!

The glass lid was a culprit on ours, we place a tea towel over the hob before closing the lid (Just make sure it is cold before you do this)

Weve had the same problem in our '05 Nuevo and have wrapped the oven trays up, taped them down, tea-towelled the grill pan, and finally removed all bits from the cooker.
The problem remained.
It looks like it's the electric fire after all.

Rattling Fire

Yep and ours was the fire too. I took off the cover and the gas heat exchanger was rattling furiously on the heat deflecter plate behind it, even at a standstill. Just happend to have a couple of inches of 22ml pipe that I jammed down the back of the heat exchanger and back plate. No more noise. Now for all the other less obvious rattles. Tip; Morrisons sell a large pack of felt pads in all sorts of useful sizes for about £1.50, I have cured tons of rattles and still have some left. The are a nuetral beige colour that can hardly be seen in Auto Sleepers.
