Welcome to the forum.
France is a wonderful place to tour in a van. We hope to be going there later in the year. Like you we also favour aires.

Hi Bob & Val,
Yes welcome and we hope you find lots to interest you here.
Over the years we have spent less time on camp sites in favour of the Aires. In fact in the last 3 years I think we have only spent 3 nights on camp sites and the remainder on Aires because you can arrive and leave when you want. Also I resent paying for services which I do not use.
Sometimes when I have stayed on Aires which are on tarmac I miss the grass and being able to use the awning. However, there are plenty that meet that need.
