new member "notsonuevo" saying hallo...
Hi everyone, thanks for letting me join your forum.
The Moderator requests that new members introduce themselves, so here goes. My wife and I had our first taste of motor-caravanning in 1976, when we hitched a lift with a friend who had to deliver a Commer pop-top camper to a client in Brindisi. We were smitten, and in 1978 we acquired a V4 swb Transit from British Gas, complete with their logos and a huge steel roofrack. Over the next year we turned it into a smart and comfy two-berth van, in which we travelled thousands of miles, visiting a dozen countries, north to Inverness and south to Istanbul. Eventually it became too rusty to repair, but by then we had moved to a riverside house, so for the next 15-or-so years we had boats Instead. In 1997 we were invited to a party in Rimini, and we had the idea of buying a camper and turning the trip into a holiday. Enter the Autohomes Camelot, which turned us back to motor caravans. Since then we’ve had a bespoke Autocruise Vista, an Autocruise Valentine and the current van is a 2007 AutoSleepers Nuevo EK. I’ve got a good workshop, and having built a van from scratch I don’t think twice about modifying to suit our requirements, and this one is no exception. Sadly various medical problems have kept us close to home for a few years, but we are slowly getting our confidence back and we had a good trip to south-west Ireland last autumn. Hopefully we can get to Germany this year and France and Italy next year, catching up with friends that we’ve met over the years of travelling. In spite of all that experience I’m still curious, still learning, still making mistakes, and always interested to hear from others who enjoy my hobbies. I hope I can contribute something useful to the forum, and I promise that future posts will be shorter than this one.....

Hi there,
Welcome from a very cold, a very windy and a snow encrusted Skegness!
Loved the thumbnail sketch of previous activities; and look forward to this year's reports and photos!
Best regards,
