Good Morning
Hi All,
My name is Pete, someone left a link to this site on another forum, that's what brings me here.
I am on my third auto sleeper in 20 years, first a Talbot based Harmony, followed by a clubman in 96, which we kept for 8 years and were thinking of having it reupholstered until I was in a fairly serious accident, where the van was laid up for a year, when I finally got to use it, we found that the gap between the inward facing settees was to small for me to be able to dress etc and with the gear stick and handbrake between the even narrower cab seats, meant that i would have to get out (difficult at the time) and walk round to the rear door and get back in, So, we ended up buying a Marquis Lancashire, it was new and the last of the old model Peugeot's.
Same footprint as the old clubman, but so much more roomy than the Clubman, we had to add a few extras to make it as comfy as the clubman.
What I like is, living in Birmingham, it is not far to travel to the Auto Sleeper workshop for any repairs and they usually have any parts needed in stock.
Pleased to meet you all.
Pete

Welome from Notts.
Hi and welcome from Notts.
I have only been a member a few weeks myself. I find this the best forum for me and hope you do too. Had my calling card left by CruzingComet will hopfully meet him face to face one day. I have worked at Birmngham but have only passed by in my motorhome on the ring road, maybe find somewhere to stop over sometime. Nice to hear you are on the mend after your accident and credit to you for keeping on trucking, so to speak.
All the best. Whisky.

Hi Pete,
Greetings from sunny Kent.
My last van was a Marquis Lancashire and we had quite a number of great trips in it.

Re: Good Morning
We haven't got much use out of this van since we bought it, first year I was still recovering from the RTA, last year, we were about to go on a three week trip to Italy, to visit Rome, Verona and Venice, everything booked (except sites) two days before we were to be off, I had acute cellulitis, which if you have not had it, thank your lucky stars, it was the most painful thing I have ever had, spent four weeks in Selly Oak, 2000 mg of penicillin a day, Morphine, oral Morphine and co cocoadamoll. can't go this year as my wife has been ill, but hey, hopefully, there will be next year.
