Duetto water system refill
Well we are starting to think about getting away for the first trip of the new year, planning on Easter time, this will be our first real year at motor homing, having only bought Dougal our Duetto last October. We unfortunately did not have any manuals with Dougal but managed to sort out draining down for the winter, we was wondering is there any particular method in refilling Dougal with water? And how long does it take? Any help would be just great

Re: Duetto water system refill
Shouldn't be complicated on a van of that age. Just stick a hose in and wait for it to fill up. How long depends on how fast the water comes out of the hose! Capacity should be 70l so it will take a while.
The next issue is likely to be priming the system - the pumps tend to be less good at self-priming as they get older...

Hi
Stick hose in tank opening, turn water on. Wait until water starts coming out of top of tank, turn off water. carefully turn all taps off inside including shower. Switch battery and pump on and then cold tap on sink until it runs free. Then hot tap until just water no air. A lot of air will come out. Then do the same in shower room. Hope this helps

Hi, i seem to remember we were careful many years ago and put milton in to be safe and flushed out. you dont need to fill to the full level to do this.
You know you have a water gauge in the van ?
regards
mike
