Rienza Internal Habitation Doorlock.
Hi, please can anyone help?We have recently bought a 2002 Autosleeper Rienza (first Autosleeper we have had) and can't work out how to lock the habitation door from the inside. There is no obvious locking system visible. With our previous motorhome you simply pushed the door lever up and we had internal catches top, middle and bottom.
Any help very much appreciated!

On quite a few of the Seitz doors there is a push down button on top of the plastic moulding. Have a look to see if yours is this type and if the button has been broken
I have moved your post to the coachbuilt section as the Rienza is not a monocoque van

Its about 7 years since I had that type of door, but don't you turn the knob on the inside to both open and lock the door?
Just checked a friends van - turn one way to open and other to lock.

Hi nickandchris,
I have a 2006 Rienza, the knob on the inside has a neutral position which is vertical.
To open the door turn the knob clockwise to about 45 degrees. It will automatically return to the vertical when released.
To LOCK the door, turn the knob anticlockwise to about 45 degrees. It will remain in this position whilst the door is locked. To unlock turn the knob to the vertical position.
Enjoy the Rienza.

Re: Rienza Internal Habitation Doorlock.
Our problem is that it won't turn anti-clockwise, presume this means the lock is broken?

Hmmmm, thanks Davy! Looks like the lock will have to come off.

Re: Rienza Internal Habitation Doorlock.
Try locking with the door open. If that works then make sure door is 'firmly closed' and try again. If not try WD40 on keeps and in key hole. If that doesn't work you need an expert.

Re: Rienza Internal Habitation Doorlock.
Well, Nick took the lock to pieces, seems like the rod from the barrel was in the wrong position in the lock. Finally sorted, we think!!
Thanks for all your suggestions.
