Hi, New Member
Hi, I have just registered on this forum. I acquired a 1989 Frisky elevating roof camper a few years ago from my in-laws. They were the original owners and the van had done about 20,000 miles in their hands in about 15 years so not a high mileage! We used it over the next 3 or 4 years and then my son and I changed the engine to a 2.9 Efi V6. This conversion took a while to get right but now the van is very easy to drive and so much quieter when cruising. It has been kept standard looking so it's not a customised camper, just a nicer driving Autosleeper!

Re: Hi, New Member
Thanks for the welcome everybody, much appreciated.
Paulmold, Yes as you say, quite an engine, but us petrolheads have to do something!
Actually it makes the van quite easy to drive, climbs hills with more ease than when it was 2 litre and although it is a bit more thirsty
its not too bad and it's not a daily use vehicle so we put up with it for the performance improvement.
