Nuevo II EK water filling problem
I own a Nuevo II EK 2010 model and have experienced problems with the water filling via the Truma system. On one occasion the solenoid failed which left me in a difficult position. I have now been offered an additional 'manual' water filling system by Autosleepers at Willersley. The filler will be fitted in the body immediately to the rear of the bed box access hatch on the nearside. It will then run across the floor of the n/s bed box before passing through the floor and into the tank. This will allow them to position the tank inlet as high as possible on the side of the tank thereby ensuring a good fill rate. Has anyone had this system fitted and if so have you experienced any problems OR has it given you greater peace of mind when filling up with water?

Re: Nuevo II EK water filling problem
I think that I would want them to fit it on the offside so that the filler pipe went into the space between the gas locker and the wardrobe wall. At the very least they should be able to put it next to the Truma inlet. I wonder why they cannot adapt your existing inlet to take a normal filler cap and a bigger bore pipe? It would mean making a special moulding to fit where the Truma is mounted but, once designed, that would be a modification that could be used for othercustomers experiencing th esame problem either in or out of warranty.
With either approach you won't lose valuable locker space with a filler pipe (which will be quite large) running across the floor of the nearside locker. If they really cannot do that then make sure that they drop the filler pipe through the floor close to the wall of the van. I have just the Whale filler, which has given no problems, and the filler pipe is concealed behind a cover - probably like your Truma - and drops straight down under the floor. Following my first suggestion would be more difficult for them to position the filler pipe because of cramped access but ought to be possible.
It looks to me as though Willersley are trying to do the job with as little inconvenience (and therefore cost) to themselves and with little regard to the effect on their customer.
That's very sad!
Long term, that kind of response does no good to a manufacturer.

Re: Nuevo II EK water filling problem
I'm with you Jaime on this. Ours only works intermittently, is very slow and leaks water substantially inside the van by the inlet. Currently we are reduced to using bottles of water.
I guess this system works ok for some but from personal experience I can say that when this system fails it's hopeless. And of course it's so frustrating that the alternative - the tried and tested method of filling straight from a hose - never gives a problem and is pretty much fool proof!
