hi we are new members dave and sandra towle.. we have just purchased a 1994 rimini and look foreward to some weeks away camping. we live on a barge on the gloucester sharpness ship canal. for the last 3 years we have been traveling full time in a burstner motorhome but now live on the barge

Hi there,

Welcome from a very cold Skegness! cold cold

We did it the other way round. Lived on a boat to tour France, Belgium, Holland and Germany for eight years then switched to a house and a motorhome to give greater range! up!

The problems re boat & motorhome seem to be very similar (e.g. electrics, batteries, fridges, cookers etc.) so enjoy. allthumbz

We too are EX narrowboat live aboards, and were based on the Middlewich branch of the Shropshire Union Canal at Cholmondeston (pronounced "Churmston") and Church Minshull before moving into Motorhomes April 2010. wave

My wife misses the boat more than me, but then she wasn't the one to polish the 2 sides + roof and all brass portholes and mushroom vents along it's 62ft length twice a year tap_fingers
