Hi, could anyone tell me if they have had any coachbuilt repairs done at Springfield motorhomes Bridlington? I bought a motorhome from them in March which now appears to have a historic damp problem which now needs repair, this involves removing existing panelwork and replacing with new. As you can imagine I am filled with trepidation at the thought of this and if the work is not done properly where do I stand regarding my warranty. Please let me know if anybody out there has had any good or bad experiences with this company I would appreciate any feedback thankyou.

I think Burlingtonboaby lives in that area and may be able to comment, as far as I'm aware they are a reputable company.

It's very unfortunate having damp in your Vivanti so soon into ownership, would suggest the previous owner had an idea remedial work was needed, do you have any past habitation test papers in the service history indicating damp reading levels and was the motorhome hab tested and paperwork issued when you purchased it? If not I would question why?

Hi Viv1
Sorry to hear that you have damp problems. I have dealt with Springfield Motorhomes in the past but not for any repair work. Following on from what CC has said, did you get a warranty with you van ? I'm pretty sure Springfield motorhomes provide 12 months warranty with their vans and water ingress is usually covered up to a certain age of vehicle (often up to 8 or 10 years). If so I think I would be tempted to take it to a specialist repairer or even A/S themselves having confirmed with the warranty company first. If your van is not covered by warranty them I would still discuss the issue of liability with Springfield Motorhomes first, especially as you say this is 'historic'.

Good luck.
