NUEVO EK Water tank
I have noticed that if I fill my water tank 75% full and use the water so that it drains into the waste water tank the waste water gauge still shows 0% full.
I intend to fill the fresh water tank to it max 100 litres this weekend and then drain it into the waste tank. Hopefully all will be ok. I will keep you posted.

Re: NUEVO EK Water tank
The waste tanks capacity is lower than the fresh water tank, also when the waste tank is full your control panel should beep... I think you only get a visual readout on the panel for the fresh water tank not the waste tank.

Yes I agree the waste tank is smaller than the fresh water but as i tried to say when the fresh water tank is empty (Beeps) the waste water still shows 0% full.

Update
See previous report on' hot water'. Drained fresh water tank into waste water tank. Waste water tank did not bleep and went from 0% to 100% in seconds.
I think I have another problem

Re: NUEVO EK Water tank
You need to get some Elsan Fresh water tank cleaner to put in both tanks as prescribed and have a good run round and you will see it has cleaned the scale off the probes and the gauges should read correctly It worked for me I think it was about £6 a bottle.

In that case, 'Gulliver' needs to go back to the dealer from whence he/she came and get the fault properly diagnosed/fixed.

Waste water update
Taken motor back to the dealer today with a list of the things that require checking. I have been told the waste water tank goes from 0% directly to 100%. I dont believe this. Has anyone experienced this 0% to 100% with nothing in between.
On another matter we found this weekend, Should the 250v sockets work when the switch box in the wardrobe is switched off?

Re: NUEVO EK Water tank
From memory I'm pretty sure the control panel gives an audible warning (several beeps) for the waste tank and visually shows you on the control panel when it's near to it's full capacity (probably 100% displayed) So the dealer could well be correct unless someone can confirm otherwise.

On my 09 Nuevo, fresh water shows up at 0, 25, 50, 100%, My fridge works when the switch box is OFF, haven't tried the sockets.

The sockets remain live with the unit switched off. I turn mine off so as not to keep charging the batteries whilst the socket gives power for the De-Humidifier which I keep on all winter.

Nuevo waste water tank
We have had our Nuevo for nearly 3 years now and raised the same query with Marquis and Autosleepers regarding levels. It is not a fault the waste gauge is only meant to tell you when the waste water tank is nearly full it is basically an on/off device and does not measure levels in between. Similarly the fresh water level is only an approximation of the level in the fresh water tank at four different levels.
We usually work on the premise that when we fill the fresh on site when it drops to 25% the waste is nearly full and and empty waste and fill fresh accordingly.
Hope this helps
Mike

That's what I thought as well Mike but many thanks for clarifying... we usually empty our waste long before it gets full so have only experienced the "waste full alert" a couple of times when first getting used to our Nuevo.

Re: NUEVO EK Water tank
100% correct, I had the same thoughts with our Cotswold a month so so ago and got our dealer to enquire with Autosleeper, the waste tank either reads 0% or 100% and nothing in between. What moron at autosleeper decided to install these in the waste water tank as the sensor is as useless a b00bies on a Bull. Pardon the English lol.
We know when its empty and when its to late we know when its full, you would think Autosleeper would get the point that if fitting a level sensor to the waste system users would like to know 25% 50% 75% etc so they have a decent indication of when they would require to empty the tank.
The waste level sensor defies logic

Waste water
Our Series 1 Lancashire/Neuvo had no warning of any sort for the waste Tank so I fitted an LED to warn us when it is 3/4 full, this comprises 2 contacts in the tank one at the bottom and 1 3/4 of the way up, unfortunately the LED is so sensitive that unless the inside of the tank is scrupulously clean and dry (a rarity) the light always shows faintly but when the tank comes up to 3/4 full and makes a good contact between the 2 stainless steel contacts the light comes on brightly to tell us that it will very shortly need emptying. Why would we want to know whether it is 1/4 or 1/2 full.

Yes I do too. My comment was more tongue in cheek. I often open the washroom door to check whilst draining the sink. I don't know about you, but when it is nearly full I just seem to know. I really wouldn't want or need a gauge, I like to keep things nice and simple.

Water tank
Hi Pug,
Sometimes we get caught out, when it has filled up unexpectedly quickly, but the LED soon tells us, I think ours is a simple as you can get.

Re: NUEVO EK Water tank
Yes, the waste indicator is USELESS! Apparently Auto-sleepers fit a float gauge in the waste tank that will only register 0 or 100%. On the fresh tank there are some buttons at 1/4 intervals up the tank so you get a 25,50,75,100% reading. The excuse for not doing that on the waste is "the contacts corrode". In any event the Sargent control unit will only register 0%, 50%, 100%. I am toying with the idea of putting the studs in the waste tank but have yet to investigate whether there are two wires or three wires that run from tank to Sargent.
