Hello Empty Hello

Post by Faulky Sun Oct 07, 2012 7:22 am

Hi there, just joined the forum after buying an AS Hampshire yesterday from Todds in Preston Lancashire. Been looking to buy a hi end Mercedes based motorhome for some time and found this 3 year old, 5000 miler in as new condition too tempting yesterday which was my birthday too.

My wife Alison and I are experienced campers and touring caravaners for the last 20 years but after a recent trip through France and Spain in a tent in hot weather, made us finally decide to bite the bullet and go for the motorhome.

Really looking forward to many weekends away and a couple of trips down to our place in Spain using the motorhome as both comfy transport and accommodation all in one.

Any tips and advice welcome. Jonathan Faulkner smile!

Not sure offhand if we have any Merc based Hampshires on the forum but do have some Tranny based Rienza(same layout)/Hampshire based members and other Merc based van owners.
These Merc based vans are getting popular.

There is at least one of us, Roli, mind you I think there were only 11 built all told of this particular model.
At the moment we are in Spain enjoying a bit of sunshine here at Vinaros. wave

Apologies, it's not a Hampshire, never seen one of those. It is a Northants!! My wife keeps telling me I am always mixing them up. Jon Faulkner
