hello from bessie in billericay essex
hello all, owned first motor home for six months, talbot autosleeper executive 1994 petrol, great condition, found your site while looking for a drop down basin replacement as ours is cracked, no luck so far, getting used to driving her, but the hand brake is a long way down, been out regularly so far. despite my husband not being able to drive her [manual] he drives auto with hand controls, so i have to pick things very quickly, very pleased with the lay out as we have now decided to keep her.

Hello Bessie
Welcome to the forum from Ilfracombe.
When we bought our 1995 Amethyst it came with a crack behind the taps of the bathroom tip up sink unit. We decided not to buy a replacement but try to repair it. The crack was not in the basin itself and we did not want a white basin above the cream toilet.
We removed the entire sink unit from the motorhome reinforced the back of the crack with a plastic angle bracket glued in place, gave every thing a good clean then on the front of the unit covered the crack (as it was in a corner) with cream silicon sealant. It looks really good now. Not sure where your crack is and if a repair would be possible or not. If not i am sure plenty of people on the forum have replaced their tip up sink units and can give you some good advice.
Regards Combecamper.

Hi there,
Welcome from what was a warm and sunny day in Skegness!
To repair cracks in plastics I tend to use a clear Araldite that sets in about 12 hours.
Best regards,
