New Tax rates 2025
I have heard that VED rates are almost doubling next year. Does anyone know if this increase is for New vehicles only or does it apply to existing vehicles also?
Secondly, where can I find the emission data for my 2014 Warwick Duo? The .Gov website is faulty as it lists my van as 0% emissions (I wish).

Re: New Tax rates 2025
New vehicles only, Range Rover type (non-hybrid) will be nearly £6000 first year VED. Standard VED for existing vehicles rising by RPI only.
PHGV rate rising to £171, first rise for over 10 years.

Re: New Tax rates 2025
Gov site shows my 2014 WXL as 0 emissions as well, however my road tax in January 24 was something like £340

Re: New Tax rates 2025
Thank you for clearing that up.
I thought it was new vehicles only but wasn't 100% sure.

Re: New Tax rates 2025
For those without emissions on V5 - "Its because a motorhome cannot normally be tested for emissions as there are too many variations. The emissions is influenced by the body style and therefore this field if often left blank unless a particular body shape/style has been tested"
Quoted from another forum.
If no emission is shown then Euro5 or 6 is based on date of registration/vin number.

Re: New Tax rates 2025
My 2002 Boxer 2.8HDi based Pollensa has no emissions data on the V5C but shows the Body Type as MOTOR CARAVAN & Taxation Class PRIVATE/LIGHT GOODS (PLG).
There is a specific gov.uk page for the relevant VED although with typical bureacratic inconsistency they use the term MOTORHOME:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
It went up in April; I renewed mine in March and it was £325
If your motorhome was registered between 1 April 2017 and 11 March 2020 scroll further down. If after that, who knows? Didn't they fall into the (expensive) trap of over the over £40,000 rate for a while?
PS There is a page for 2025 with a pdf to download but I can't see that it quotes actual rates . . .
