Insomnia Empty Insomnia

Post by Bilbobaggins Sun Sep 29, 2024 3:30 am

Been awake in bed since 2am, finally got up to make a cuppa.  Frustrating thing is will probably spend most of the afternoon snoozing in my chair, usually sleep through the night no problem other than age related trips to the loo. Concert day for one of my Orchestra yesterday and plagued by several Tchaikovsky ear worms that won't let brain switch off.

Someone on local Facebook group asked about an hour ago if any food places still open, concensus was McDonald's, now starting to wonder what time they serve breakfast as it is only a 2 minute drive away shrugg

Update

Did fall asleep about 4.30am, now wide awake again, and resisted urge to visit McDonalds at 4am

Ah …. The dreaded ear-worms. After every rehearsal and concert. Double trouble if both spouses are in the same choir.

I am always up at between 03:30 to 04:00 everyday including weekends.

I blame work with a four am start, better I think if you work nights.

After being retired for over 25 years you would think that I would be over it by now, wouldn't you?
