Truma iNet box
Our 2021 Nuevo EK came with a Truma iNet box allowing remote control of heating and water heater over Bluetooth. Suddenly the Bluetooth connection has stopped working, and I can no longer see the device on my phone. The pairing button still flashes the blue light.
I have tried a factory reset and turning off the power for a minute but all in vain. Any ideas?
I have never put a SIM card in to use the SMS option, which annoyingly has always sat there flashing red. Does anyone use this, and what kind of SIM card do you recommend?

Have. You tried turning off Bluetooth on your phone, turning the phone off, leaving it for a few minutes, starting it up again and then turning Btooth back on and attempting to re-pair. It’s a common fix when phones stop connecting.

Re: Truma iNet box
Completely useless advice I’m sure but power the iNet box off and try again in the morning.
I’ve been amazed how some of these modern devices seem work the following day!
As I said, more than likely no use at all

Did you use your Android mobile App to update your iNet box, I did and lost the Bluetooth connection. Unless they're issue an update I warned against updating.. Check out the reviews in the Play Store first.

Re: Truma iNet box
May not help.
I once spoke to a fellow camper on a site who was walking around with his smart phone.
" no signal " I said.?
No I'm just walking around checking people's Bluetooth connections for their heating.
People never set up a private code/pin etc. He said. Leaves them open to others connecting up to their signal ......and shutting it down for ever !!!
He let people know what to do before it was too late.
It had happened to his mate.
Again might be no help here at all.

Yes, I updated with my iPhone. I wasn’t sure if it was the App itself or the box that was being updated. Can it be reversed? How did you fix yours?Relaxez-Vous wrote:Did you use your Android mobile App to update your iNet box, I did and lost the Bluetooth connection. Re: Truma iNet box
brains, I did not fix it. When I deleted the faulty iNet update and reinstalled the older version still available too from the Google App Play Store, I could not get past it wanting me to update back to the faulty firmware. So I disconnected the 12V power from the iNet box and hope Truma gets this sorted in the near future. I will only update if I read some positive reviews of a replacement firmware being available.
Having working devices screwed up by a firmware update seems like an accident all too familiar to Microsoft or banks' credit card machines. Don't panic you can always visit your local bank branch to get things sorted out in person, Oh No they've closed and want all of us to use smart phones to access our digital money..

Just dont see the need to use phone to turn on heating etc i find it much simpler to switch on when I need it.brains wrote:Our 2021 Nuevo EK came with a Truma iNet box allowing remote control of heating and water heater over Bluetooth. Mine flashed red for a year then I unplugged it.
Would much prefer to have accurate level indicators for Water and Waste tanks

Agreed it’s not a big deal, although the App is the only way to see the temperature of the (hot) water which we do find helpful.Richard G wrote:

That’s the aim, not the actual. No point getting out of bed with tepid water.Richard G wrote:My hot water is either Eco or Hot!
