M6 northbound

M6 northbound Empty M6 northbound

All northbound traffic being taken off at J39 , massive queues to this exit, reason is hgv has hit central barrier and overturned about 20 miles further on, stationary queue there for couple of miles, now turning vehicles around and presumably take them back to J39 to get off. Anyone travelling up that way, avoid at all cost. 
Plus thick fog and heavy rain from Tebay services southbound. Appalling day for travel.

and its a lovely day in the South - what a difference  rainyday

We sat on that stretch of the M6 for 7 hours last summer,due to a milk tanker rolling over, re routed via Preston.
Turned out cooler here under the cloud layer, light breeze.
