LPG. Rip off UK?
Noticed this at the local gas supplier here in Northland New Zealand. At the present exchange rate this works out at about £20 for a 9kg bottle. In the UK I paid £32 for a 6kg exchange, that's about 2.5 times more than the NZ price .
Petrol and diesel are much the same price, if a bit more than the UK, so I wonder why LPG is so expensive in the UK.

I expect it's like electricity and gas prices !!!
We have to import everything at high prices.
This is our way of saving the world.
Dont get me on standing charges !!!

The issue of Calor prices are frustrating in our part of the uk. The Jet garage near us charge £28 for a 6kg bottle. The Jet garage 8 miles away charge £24 . The Calor shop across town change their prices from £26/£28 depending on the season but their opening times are hit and miss.
On our way back from Scotland last year after looking for Calor in a few places on route managent noticed a Calor sign opposite a cafe. They had a 6 kg bottle so we thought it would be expensive but we needed it. To our surprise they charged us £22.

Diesel in Otago is available around $NZ 2, roughly £1 a litre so a bit cheaper than UK.
