Cotswold 25L LPG Fitted Tank
We are concerned at a report we heard regarding restrictions on the amount of LPG gas operators will allow you to board Ferry/Tunnel with. Spoke to Mark who advised we may be required in the presence of Ferry officials to get under the Van remove side plate on tank and close the main valve from the LPG tank. Has anyone experienced any problems with this, if so I need to be prepared with working overalls etc!

You'll have no problem. Just tell them it's a fixed tank and that you've closed the main valve. They usually don't seem very interested and have never asked to check it.

Cotswold lpg fitted tank
Hi we came back a week ago through tunnel. Going out it was persisting it down and it meant my husband getting under the van to turn off the main valve to gas tank. When asked by eurotunnel staff to do so he replied I have to get under van firstly overhauls on then something to lie on and hold up the line behind. They asked is this the only way and husband replied that he could swich the taps off in the van to isolate each appliance. They were happy with this. Coming back he did this before they asked and were happy to allow him to do that.

Hi Sue, many thanks for your comments ,we are now in Brittany having used Brittany Ferries, fortunately we did not experience any problems on boarding at Plymouth. We can only hope that turning off the internal taps will be acceptable in future, nice to hear from fellow Cotswold
owners.Regards David
