Hello
After 8 years with a Hymer (wonderful machine) we have decided to downsize. Kids have flown so a 2 berth should be big enough!!!
Having emptied the Hymer yesterday its quite scarey just how much junk we have been carrying around through UK and the continent (mostly France). Things came out of cupboards which haven't been seen for at least 5 years.
We wanted something economical we could use to get to the South of France where eldest daughter lives and hopefully the nearly new Symbol we are getting from Brownhills should fit the bill. Biggest issue I think will be the re-education about what we can fit in. Not even sure yet about deckchairs.
Here's hoping for a long and happy relationship with an Autosleeper.

Wow..
You are a friendly bunch.... I'm impressed by the welcoming responses, thank you all. I can see I've come to the right place.
Yes I do have / ride a couple of Matchlesses, (G11CS, Harris Matchless) together with a BSA B40, a Pre 65 Trials Rigid AJS, a Tiger Cub and for recreation a Ducati ST4.

Hi
Hi Matchlessman, hope you like your Symbol, that's what my wife and I are thinking about. We want something we can use on a daily basis and be able to tow a trailer to the bike rallies we fancy. From the nic, you might guess we ride a GoldWing GL1500. Be interesting to hear your experiences.
Ride safely out there

Re: Hello
Hi there,
Welcome from a cold, wet and windy Skegness!
With regard to "capacity" just be totally ruthless with EVERYTHING put onboard. Apart from "emergency and safety gear" we have three rules:
1. If it hasn't been used in the last month then we probably don't need it and it can be removed.
2. Never carry a consumable that can be bought at the next town.
3. With regard to clothes; one on, one in the wash and one in the drawer for everything.
Best regards,
