Hi Guys.  We had a 32 yearly talisman for many years, then sold our soul to the dark side and bought a brand new Chausson.  Great as it was, the anxiety of the complexity of an electronics filled spaceship was too much for me.  At least when my talisman broke down I could fix it with a few tools and an electrical tester.  So we've gone back to the surety of an auto sleeper and can't wait to get away again.  We collect our 2001 Pescara next week!

Hi D&J. There’s much to be said for avoiding complicated electronics.

That's one of the main reasons we've kept our 2002 Pollensa (which we bought back in 2004) for so long, as we prefer the separate discrete controls for each of the fitted hab appliances etc. Easier to repair if needs be, although they have proved reliable (touch wood) overall, rather than the later complex electronic central control panels which judging by the many posts on here can prove temperamental.

The only issue we've had has been the need for welding to correct the dreaded tin worm on the base vehicle at MOT time but still worth the cost to keep the old girl going.

Presumably you've had your Pescara checked out?
