If you zoom in on the top pic you will see where I have covered over the frame securing screws with translucent sealant

Thanks Caraman for your really helpful posts - some excellent ideas there. And it is good to know what that vinyl tape is for. Mine has gone just like yours.

Have already tried to post this using Quick Reply but nothing has appeared…

He means the recessed screws that fix the frame to the side of the van.  He has filled his with sealant so they are flush with the rest of the frame and form a better seal with the additional seal he has fitted to the door.  I might do the same but not until it's much drier outside.

Caraman - how easy is it to remove the locker door?

Second question: am i right in thinking that when i attach the seal to the door, i leave gaps for the two small white plastic catches that hold the door shut… or am i missing something?

Good morning Nieve,  Insert a flat bladed screwdriver at the point of the red arrow and push the white nylon hinge pin down, this will make a gap at the green arrow where you can insert the screwdriver and push the pin completely out.  Repeat for the bottom pin only push upwards and remove the pin. The door will now be free, it is a good idea to get a second person to support the door whilst you do this.  Note where I have filled the frame securing screwhead with clear sealant at the yellow arrow

You are right in thinking that when you attach the seal to the door, you leave gaps for the two small white plastic catches that hold the door shut.

Thanks go to Monty-Plym who answered it for me.  Monty-Plym used a different seal to me.  I got mine quickly from Screwfix.  Mine didn’t bend through 90 degrees at the corners so I fitted 4 separate pieces butted up at the corners.  I found I didn’t need to cut out bits around the two catches.  When I pulled the original seal off it was quite easy to fit the new seal without cutting bits out.  I then refitted the original seal.  What I might do is pull the original seal off and put a bead of sealant on the recess it fits into.  It’s just possible that doing this might make the door water tight without the additional seal.

Yes, sorry Monty-Plym!

I am a little confused, now, though. From Monty-Plym’s picture it looks as if he has the two seals side by side. Caraman seems to me to be saying that he has the two seals one on top of the other. Have i got that right?

Sorry if I have caused confusion.  As far as I can see Monty-Plym and I have stuck our additional seal in the same place on inside edge of the door alongside the original seal rather than on top of it.  It's easier to see how this is done if the original seal is pulled off.  The original seal tapers to a bead that fits into a recess running around the inside of the door.  The new seal is stuck on the flat section of door between the recess and the door's edge.  My new seal is butted up to the recess but not over it.  The original seal can then be pushed back into the recess.

I have used Stormguard Rubber Foam Weatherstrip which is available from Screwfix and Toolstation.  It comes in two cross-sectional sizes - 19mm x 12mm which I have used and 12.7mm x 8mm.  The smaller size would probably have done.

I would show you a photograph but I can't at the moment as my Nuevo is in a workshop having its Truma Combi repaired and turned around so its electrics face the inside of the van which is the way it should have been fitted by A-S.

I had the same problem on my nuevo I folded some kitchen roll  folded it to fit behind the cassette after a few rainy days the paper was wet ,so I purchased a new seal  did the paper test after fitting the new  seal paper was dry  the seal comes of the door  buy just pulling it off  and push fit the new one on
Very simple job  I still fit paper behind the cassette as a simple leak detector ,
