1993 Autosleeper VW Trident

There is a relay, marked 38, fitted on the top level of the fuse box/relay assembly located near the right knee. Does anybody know the function of this relay?

I believe it is the relay that runs the secondary coolant circulation pump after the engine is turned off, if the coolant is above a high temperature threshold, measured by a sensor.
