1993 Autosleeper VW Trident

There is a relay, marked 38, fitted on the top level of the fuse box/relay assembly located near the right knee. Does anybody know the function of this relay?

If not, the part you're asking about is a VW factory fitting rather than an A/S add-on, so your best place to ask would probably be the UK VW T4 owner's forum.

I believe it is the relay that runs the secondary coolant circulation pump after the engine is turned off, if the coolant is above a high temperature threshold, measured by a sensor.
