Fairford submersible water pump

I own a 2019 Fairford.  This is the second time the in-tank submersible water pump has failed.  I can't repair this myself because the van needs to go up on a ramp to access the tank and remove it.  Seems a poor design to me - I hear of plenty of other people who have trouble with water pumps (particularly Whales).  Is it possible to replace this with an external pump that can be accessed more easily?  Any thoughts or advice please.

There is loads on the Forum about this and yes it can be replaced with a Shurflo which many have done.

Thank you for your replies.  Pity Autosleeper don't fit Shurflo pumps in the first place!

As been said shurflo is the cure for problems with in tank pumps.AS will fit one for you(at a cost) but it’s not over difficult to do following advice on fact sheet if you are a little bit happy hands on.

My AutoSleeper welcome pack, which included the operating manuals for every aftermarket item fitted, included 1 for a Flo-Jet inline pump ! After searching everywhere when my water pump failed, I was told by AS that the submersible pump was the only one..

There must be a reason why they don't fit these and choose to install a submersible pump (WHICH I DIDNT GET A MANUAL FOR )

You may find that shurflo (or flojet) are not options on new spec but extra after market work.
