Looks like a belly buster, I'll guess £15.99. Incidentally, the photo would put me off eating (too late, I've had me tea)

£16.99 . With 1 extra beef pattie it's 12.99, with 2 it's 15.99, with 3 it's 16.99. This seems to be the standard of food served in the trendy eateries around here, piled up with acres of cheese dripping , covered in sauces etc. As Askit said, just the look of it puts me off.

Re: Whatever happened to the humble burger?
I can never get the idea of those burgers. A burger in a bun is meant to be picked up and eaten like a sandwich.
You have to take those burgers apart to eat them so why not put the contents on a plate and scrap the bun.
When I was training in Canada with the army I was asked if I would like a loaded burger. I hadn’t a clue what they were talking about. The cookhouse didn’t serve burgers in a bun.
It was a quarter pounder with pickles tomatoes and relish.

Jeez, that is crazy! Fuelling your body with that is like taking a dump in your tank and expecting the van to operate at peak performance.

What really gets me is everywhere seems to want to put your burger in a brioche bun … I don’t want a meat burger in a butter bun that’s also full of sugar, what’s wrong with a traditional soft bap !

They are too filling and stodgy, the introduction of Brioche with a burger was right for me - I particularly like St Pierre.

Management has a recipe for Corn Relish in her kitchen scrap book. She got recipes from the back of cups soups from years ago.
