Drones
Don't get me wrong I am not anti drones, I even thought about getting one. I would probably wreck it on the first flight though!
We are very lucky in having a sunny courtyard that is totally private and not overlooked by anyone so in this weather let's just say it is frequently used for sunbathing. Today there was a whirring noise and a drone flew towards our house, did a circle and proceeded to hover above us for several minutes before flying rapidly off to whence it came. Had I been in possession of shotgun or a patriot missile system I would have shot it down.
In my case all they would have seen was an overweight wrinkly old pensioner, but, Lady G might not share that view.
Is that really allowed in this Country and is it considered reasonable behaviour?
This might have been someone just having a bit of fun but could equally have been someone looking for a nice motorhome to have away... or doing a bit of "filming".
Hmmm

Re: Drones
Think the rule is no nearer than 50m from any person, I'll have to check that though.

Yes.

No.
Sadly, privacy is a thing of the past. You only have to look at Google Street View or the satellite imagery offered by companies other than Google (eg. Planet Labs), their imagery is of far higher quality and resolution than a drone at 50m :(
