Water Ingress
Hi,
Unfortunately I had some water ingress over winter which destroyed the toilet door jamb on my 2003 Nuevo.I thought foolishly , that it would be an easy item to replace so I emailed Autosleepers and they gave me the name of their
suppliers.Yes, they said they could manufacture a replica but only if I placed an order for 100 units which I didn't really need,
use one and burn the other 99 ?? After ringing several companies in England I did manage to find one that would make just the one,not cheap, but still willing to make one.
The job cost 250 + VAT which I thought was cheap compared with what it would have cost had I taken it to Autosleepers to repair, jobs good as new.
The name of the company is ; MR MOULDINGS, 10,FELSTEAD ROAD, LONGMEAD INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, EPSOM, SURREY, KT19 9BB.
I hope that helps someone that finds themselves in a similar situation as water tende to find its way ANYWHERE.
Cheers,
Jim

Re: Water Ingress
Hi Chris,
The door jamb is the frame the the hinge is screwed to which the door swings on.
The profile is so complex it's impossible to even try to cobble something together as a substitute.
Cheers,
Jim

I understand what a door jamb is but can not fathom out why you would have to have a company make it , is it fibreglass , a funny shape , or just a board with a wooden batten fastened to it to fasten the hinge to

It is a very, very, funny shape.
Not funny really when the price to replace is so high.
If I could have cobbled something together I would have instead of parting with 300 quid ! !

The thing is with these forums you should always ask first about any problems you may have, as someone else may have had the same and can point you in the right direction and save a few pounds , but glad you got sorted
