Dumfries and Galloway
Whilst we were at Kirkby Stephen there’s was one on site but I can’t remember what it was.
Kirkcubright on the Silvercraig site two Nuevo and a Broadway. In town there was a Corinium.
Mull of Galloway light house there was a Broadway, Symbol and the same Corinium.
I did try and speak to owners but we seem to miss each other with comings and goings.
This area is popular with Autosleepers from what we have seen on our journey between stops.

Thanks for that Fredrick. We are at Girvan now and I filled up whilst we were in Kirkcubright. I can’t remember how much it was but it was on the main road. I didn’t find the second garage until we went for a walk round later and that was a bit cheaper.
I have found the fuel prices a bit less here than our part of Lincolnshire but I am not spending my travel time looking for cheaper fuel.

I am sure the Corinium that we spotted on our travels was next to us at the pub in Leadhills. By the time we came out of the pub they were closed up with blinds down. Next morning we left before they were about.
It looked like it was bought from SMC at Newark like our naibors used Corinium.

I used to live near Girvan. Barr, in fact. Not been there in 30 years though.

It was a great place to park up for the night. There are about ten marked out bays for motorhomes most having a view out to sea with Isla Craig in sight. A chippy within walking distance.
It’s ten pounds for the night, 6pm to 9am and free during the day. There is chemical disposal point and water.
Parked next to us was a German registered Iveco 4x4 ex fire truck. It made our Rienza look timid.
We found a lot of places this trip we will go back to its a good area for motorhome travels.

That sounds cool, there was a campsite/caravan park on the north side of the river, near the golf course. (Years ago!) We used to park by the boating lake at lunchtimes. Near the swimming baths.
There was a good chipshop near the flushes, by the tourist information, just down the road from Stumpy (the clock tower)
Probably all change now, I believe there's an out of town supermarket now.

King's Green caravan site , Port William, is a great little touring site. Right on the edge of the beach. Village community run I believe. Great views and you can look out for dolphins and "nearly " touch the Isle of man on a clear day. Sun sets etc.
Girvan is also a good touring spot, with a good set up.

There were a lot of places this trip that we would have liked to stop overnight but it was too early in the day so we tried to not drive later than tea time and see were we nearest to for overnight or if we needed to use services for water etc.
Judging by other motorhomes and campers we saw each night a lot of people had the same idea as us. One couple stopped in the same place as us for lunch and overnight twice including the Corinium I mentioned.
