Broadway 2014 Vehicle Battery
Our Broadway has been in storage for a few months and visiting it today found the vehicle battery totally dead, won't charge, won't jump.
So I'm looking to just swap it out, but on inspection I see the current battery is a Yuasa YBX Active L36-100 and it has "Leisure Battery" printed all over it! I'm 99% sure this is the vehicle battery as it's in the hole in the passenger footwell (Peugeot Boxer).
My understanding is the vehicle battery and leisure battery are two different beasts - one for delivering short high bursts of power for getting the engine started and the other for long term slow powering of lights etc.
Is this the case? Has the previous owner put the wrong kind of battery in?
Thanks
Andy

Hi Andy,
Don't know that much about batteries but your correct in the basic difference between Leisure and Vehicle batteries. Just sold my Fiat Ducato (same as the Boxer I think) and the battery in the passenger footwell IS the vehicle battery.
Hope this helps!

Re: Broadway 2014 Vehicle Battery
I called the dealer and he said it was a dual-purpose battery. As long as the Cold Cranking Amps are sufficient then it will be fine. He did confess it was a bit of an expensive way of doing things but there you are.
I ended up just getting a regular vehicle battery from Halfords and now all is good!

Hmm...never heard of a dual purpose battery before! So long as it works though, and as you say all is good!!
