2007 Nuevo bethroom sink.
Hiya all
I had one of those days yesterday. I was fixing my none flushing toilet (seized impeller). Not wanting to lose the screws I decided to put the plug in the sink when the whole metal plug hole collapsed into the sink. The metal plug hole seems to be glued onto a square plastic plate which is then glued to the bottom of the sink. Any ideas if I can fix this, and sort of glue to use or is it a new sink job? At least the toilet flush works again, I just can’t wash my hands:smile!:

You could try removing the sink and using fibreglass resin and a tissue matting to effect a repair, just make sure the area is roughed up,
In fact the sink may split in two parts, it looks from the photo that the bottom cover of the sink may be just stuck on with silicone
As a side note on this, don’t use alcohol based mouth wash in these type of sinks as it affects the material they are made out of over time causing the problem you have had

Cheers Chris. It does look like it will separate.

If you feel like splashing out on a new sink AS spares have them at £80+vat but you'd still have to attach the waste.
