Upgrading Leisure Battery
I have a 2017 Symbol which has got the original leisure battery installed but I am not sure what size was fitted. The battery box looks big enough so I want to install a 100 Amphr lead acid battery but what do I have to disconnect before I unbolt the terminals as I assume the terminals are live because of the solar panel input. Many thanks. Bill

Do you have a fuse or breaker on the positive wire to the solar regulator that enables you to cut the power from the panel to the regulator

Sorry Chris I wouldn't know where to look. On my last caravan it was a simple case of just removing 2 in line fuses. BillFreelanderUK wrote:Do you have a fuse or breaker on the positive wire to the solar regulator that enables you to cut the power from the panel to the regulator

Re: Upgrading Leisure Battery
You could do it at night when there is no power to the solar and just do a straight swap over if you already have the replacement battery, just make sure that you have no EHU plugged in,
You got a photo of the connection and area showing the wiring

You could cover the solar panel/panels with cardboard or something similar, or do it at night with secondary lighting.
