Nuevo ES 2009 - Awning light cover
Does anyone know how to remove the awning light cover on the Nuevo ES 2009 model? Mine has grown inner algae which gives it a green glow!

Hi Richard,
I assume that yours is similar to ours , rather than the later ones which are held on with screws and removal is obvious, if it is as per the photo then it has to be carfully levered off with a sharp screwdriver or similar as it is stuck on with caravan sealer which can be obtained from most caravan or motorhome dealers, I had ours off to alter it from a 10 watt bulb to LED.

Re: Nuevo ES 2009 - Awning light cover
The type Brian has shown has a notch for the screwdriver to engage in to allow prising off.
When I took ours off the bulb holder had corroded badly. I went to an established AS dealer who said they couldnt understand why AS only fitted part of the light assembly as this would prevent water ingress when the O ring seal on the lense was letting water in. The full assembly (now fitted on ours) has a top metal cover which is secured by 2 screws
Whilst off, took the opportunity in following my 12v consultants (murph) guide to power saving and fitted a bayonet adaptor to inset an LED in as this is one light that sometimes you want to leave on.

If it's a 2009 model then I suspect it's fitted with the newer type light as shown on this model which Autosleepers have been using for sometime now
