Hello
I bought a Symbol ES in May this year, 2 weeks before going to work in the USA for the summer. I returned mid-September and have been getting to know my lovely van since, with my first overnighters a couple of weeks ago. I've recently had to use the shower out of necessity due to a new bathroom being installed in the house and that was interesting, the alarm goes off I think to say that the grey water tank is full but equally it could be to say that the freshwater tank is running low. What are people's thoughts on using the shower?
I can't wait to have more outings in it but would love to know people's thoughts over winterising or not as I intend to use it throughout the winter on a fairly regular basis.
I'm currently trying to find out what the red switch on the corner of the settee above the 3-pin plug by the heating fan is for so if anyone can tell me I'd be very grateful?

Re: Hello
Is it a "red" switch or a switch with a red neon. If the latter, it is usually either a switch for the awning light, reminded you its on; an isolating switch for the electric hob on the cooker; a master switch which allows you to switch off all the lights at once (eg . last thing at night). Not familiar with the Symbol so a bit of a guess.

Re: Hello
Welcome to the forum from our corner of Lincolnshire. I am surprised a fellow Symbol owner hasn’t confirmed the purpose of the switch. Our Duetto had an illuminated switch for the water heater when on hook up.

Re: Hello
Hi Dave, thank you for your response, that begins to make sense now as it's been setting the alarm off with the red light on the water pump and water icon. However not to want to appear thick but what is it actually telling me? I've tested it with an empty grey tank and a full water tank but still it alarms so what does it do? I would very much appreciate your input. Best regards, Juliet
