Hi everyone
Hi,
I'm new member on this forum, but I hope I'll be a part of your community soon.
For now I'm looking for Clubman or Gatcombe.
Best,
Mirek ;)

Re: Hi everyone
All is explained in the AS MH Wanted section, Paul, but I fear Struna is going to have a long and difficult search.

Re: Hi everyone
@Paulmold, yes I'm from Poland and I want to buy and export ;)
I saw clubman for the first time at vw busfest year ago and I fell in love at first sight.
Also I'm 99% sure that there is no even single one in continental europe, so my will be first

Re: Hi everyone
Welcome!
My Executive will be, briefly, in Poland next September! Very similar to the Clubman.
Good choice of motorhome in my biased view. Generally the habitation one piece GRP part is fine, just beware of rust on the host vehicle.
Google MOT HISTORY for any one you see and fancy, you'll need its registration number from the number plate, that'll give you a brief history of what it has failed on in previous annual tests.
I'll keep my eyes open for you!
Google AUTOTRADER MOTORHOMES, then Autosleeper Clubman, there's 5 on there right now

Re: Hi everyone
hi IanH
I have Carthago Abakus based on VW T4 and my vehicle is in great condition.
Unfortunately hotel-container build from wood and aluminum requires major restoration or replacement.
I decided to swap it to clubman GRP container with conversion to LWB and moving door to right side in front of rear wheel. I've already have a company that will do it .. if I'll not find container donor we will do it from the scratch.
Also in next week I'm starting my project with take off the original container and mounting haldex from T5.
The plan is to made first Clubman EU LWB 4x4 :D

Re: Hi everyone
Good Luck!
All possible and probably easier where you are than here in UK.
Be a lot of work but worth it if it gets you what you want......

Re: Hi everyone
from EU legal perspective such swap is not prohibited, but looking for container donor, when I'm not in UK is hard. That's why I decided to reward person who will help me

Re: Hi everyone
thanks, but the clue of my searching is that clubman and gatcombe are "spare parts" for my VW T4. Using container from diff vehicle will increase the scope of work, costs and makes legalization practically impossible

Would that be possible? I understand that the 4-wheel drive controller (J492) on a T5 is operated via CANbus, so adapting it to work on a T4 will be difficult, won't it?
