Waste water level indication
The indicated waste water level on my Stanway shows 75% even when the tank is (and I have checked) empty. It drives me nuts as the alarm sounds and indicator shows full after on about 24hrs of light use. Is there anyway of servicing the sensors etc. to fix this problem and get a true reading/display of the actual contents level?

This topic has been asked so many times, use the search box for 'waste sensors' and you'll find loads of previous discussions and remedies.

It’s all very interesting that people think that the answer to the problem is to ignore the display and the alarm but I would actually like to know how to solve it. I cannot be rocket science! Where are the sensors? How do they work? How can I correct the misinformation being displayed?

If you crawl under the van you will see the sensor wires on the outside of the fresh and waste water tanks.
If you do find a satisfactory permanent solution then please report back on the forum. Many have tried and none have succeeded, not just with Autosleeper models, also discussed widely on generic motorhome e fora

I don't have as much experience on this as others but I think the cure is to keep the inside of the tank and therefore the sensors as clean and scale free as possible. I have learnt from this forum that in wet road conditions the outside of the sensors can sometimes short. The cure for this is to apply silicone sealant on the outside of each sensor where it enters the tank.

If it is practical fit a henderson (TCL4) hatch to the tank and you can access the inside to clean the sensors and air the tank. I have one on our fresh water tank and can change the pump and clean the sensors in a heartbeat.
