Battery updates
Hi all, hope this is the correct place to post this! We are planning a trip to France/Spain next month and wonder if the standard 60AH battery will be man enough for a few nights on the French Aires? Any suggested upgrades would be gratefully received! Ps only have 2 weeks before we leave!

Re: Battery updates
Are you planning to drive out each day, if not how many days to you expect to stay in one place, do you have a solar panel, do you plan to watch tv?

Battery Updates
Hi Peter, we may stay more than one night, possibly 2 or 3, depending on what there is to do! We have the standard 80w? Solar panel only. If we watch tv it will be a dvd.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Battery updates
The amount of light available for the solar to harvest and how much power you use will influence a lot but three days with only solar charge should be no problem - I've done five nights over new year without hook up but been very careful with what I use.
I'm presuming your 60Ah is Lithium and if so, increasing capacity can be problematic particularly as you have no time to experiment.

Re: Battery updates
Hi Peter, yes it is a lithium battery, I’m sorry, I should have check the side of it first before posting! Having had caravans in the past, I didn’t expect the standard battery to be lithium!
ThanksĀ

Re: Battery updates
The 60ah lithium is equivalent to 100ah lead Acid in available power.

Re: Battery updates
With solar and that battery you should be fine. Last truck was 100w solar and 110Ah never had any issues, only rarely used EHU
