Why so few?
Hi I bought an AS Broadway last year and I'm really grateful for the help that the forum members have provided for problems with the van. I don't have any problem right now, but I wondered if anyone could give me some feedback. I live close to the main road into North Devon so we see vast numbers of motorhomes trundling up an down all year. There are hundreds of Swifts, Auto Trails and Elddises, and plenty of Hymers, Adrias, Chaussons and so on. But I've never seen an Auto-Sleeper. And when visiting sites, I've seen a grand total of two. Why are there so few?

I haven't done a proper comparison but we have seen quite a few Auto-Sleepers of varying ages and types - campervan and motorhome. We were on a CL the other day and including my own, there were 3 Auto-Sleepers and the other two were caravans.

It always seems to me that quite a sizeable proportion of MHs seen on the road are AS, particularly PVCs.

I don’t know the sales splits for the different models but our Marquis dealer has always suggested that AS are more popular for PVC’s than motorhomes. Also, they are top end of the market (a Bourton is nearly £85k) so you might expect to see fewer than Swift etc. Hymer have strong market penetration throughout Europe.

Re: Why so few?
So still a newbie with our first motorhome, around 200 nights now since purchase, but I have seen a number of AS on sites, only last week we were at Kendal for 4 nights there were 5 other AS including ours over the course of those days.
To be fair it's mostly Broadway and Neuvo I see, only a couple of Bourton's.

I have often wondered how many motorhomes and campervans Autosleepers make each year. It's probably commercial in confidence.
