Nick Whale Motorhomes
We are contemplating doing what in normally not recommended and purchasing a motorhome from a dealer several hours travelling from home.
Wonder if any forum members have a recent experience of Nick Whale Motorhomes …. Brilliant/Good/Bad/Ugly etc etc ?
Our nearest dealer is Marquis Ipswich and our experience with them has been dire.

Re: Nick Whale Motorhomes
I've seen two excellent reports on a Facebook group just this last week. Can't speak from experience though.
Here's a copy of one..
"
5* Report Time.
Nick Whale A/S dealer, Evesham.
Spending £82k on a Bourton to enter the high life gives you expectations of a certain level of customer service when things go wrong, and thats exactly what we just experienced.
Nick Whale fitted us in quickly, swapped faulty fridge elements, fixed a few other very minor snags and returned van immaculate. Left us feeling very valued, which often isn't the case with warrenty work once the main money has been spent !
We chose Nick Whale after reading good reports on here and elsewhere last year, and they are absolutely living up to it so far.
So I'm sharing our experience and passing it forward."
Reading through the comments which followed that , I think you've already seen that .

Re: Nick Whale Motorhomes
Obviously my van is now out of warranty but I bought mine new from them in October 2018 and have no complaints.
Any bits that did fail (fridge catch, foggy rear camera for example), they were happy to send out in the post for me to fit.

Hi,
Bought a second hand Bourton about 6 months ago from them. Any warranty issues and "snagging" were done quickly and efficiently. Probably the best aftersales service I have had, (5 van in so far)
Can recommend them. Just up the road for me so happy days.

Re: Nick Whale Motorhomes
Bought my new van from them in 2018 too. They are 125 miles away, so a 250 mile / 5hrs round trip but they had the van I wanted sitting on the forecourt (a rare Stanway model) which is why I chose them.
No issues to report with them as a dealer.
There was an issue with a leaking waste trap in the washroom sink during the first week of ownership and they recommended I find a local mobile caravan repairer / person to come to my home and fix it on my driveway. I sent them the bill, they paid it without hesitation. Which was probably best for everyone really.
I'd buy from them again.

Didn't they have a service manager named Attila, that scared me?

Re: Nick Whale Motorhomes
Two experiences
First purchase - brilliant and all that you'd expect
Second purchase started with being told to take the van to Mercedes to sort out a dashboard warning light.... Went downhill from that point.
Hero to zero in our eyes - maybe we were unlucky?

Re: Nick Whale Motorhomes
Pleased to report that our experience has been entirely positive. Nick Whale was the ONLY to offer a realistic part ex. price for our Warwick XL.
Handover was exceptionally comprehensive and friendly.
Paperwork was dealt with in a most efficient and amiable manner.
We stayed in the area just ‘in case’ of snags and there was one …. they arranged for the van to go in later that day and sorted the issue within 30 minutes.
Now the happy owners of a Broadway EL.
