Hi please help
Hi just bought a restoration project, a 1984 Renault traffic mk 1 1.6 petrol. I've a few questions:
1. What model auto sleeper is this. It's in a beige colour with pop uproof....
2. Can you buy any spares etc?
3. I wish to get it resprayed, what colour code is this and can you still get the side decals.....etc?
Any information on this model would be helpful or any pics......
Thx
Paul

Some are OK some are difficult to get hold of, what do you need?2. Can you buy any spares etc?
I'll have to get back to you on the paint code, but it will have faded in 28 years anyway.3. I wish to get it resprayed, what colour code is this and can you still get the side decals.....etc?
Decals? not too sure, try Auto-Sleepers.
There are people who will make decals to order.

Thank you
I really like to thank you for welcoming me onto the forum. As I said earlier the c amper is in a very sorry state. So I'm just going to get it roadworthy for now and just have some fun in her. I do need a table and the bunks for the elevating roof so any info would help. Any advice on what awning I could have?
Also service items for the Renault ie brakes filters etc, usual places or specialists? Any Renault breakers specialists I could contact? Cheers from all my family, really looking forward to driving her.

Re: Hi please help
Hello again from East Yorkshire.
I have a 1994 Renault Rimini Auto Sleeper, and the guy who provided you with the information earlier Boxerman AKA Frank, provided a link to a club specialising in Renaults. I joined them, and found a link to the auto sleeper web site through them.
It is well worth joining, not as active as this forum, but a great bunch of people, and what they do not know about Renaults is not worth knowing.
Have a look at the link, and check it out for yourself.

Engine is seized
I tried to rotate the crankshaft pulley but the engine is well seized. So now comes the question. Because renault traffic engines are few and far between, mk 1 that is, what other alternatives can I use. According to Wikipedia the engine is the same as a Renault 18. But these are like hens teeth. Can other engines be used, say from a r19, megane etc? Or any diesels that dont use ecus etc? Please help as I'd like to go away soon and my daughter who is five is distraught. She loves this van and I don't want to scrap her....
