Duetto Low Voltage
Hi Everyone
I'm in the process of trying to fix a non flushing toilet in my Duetto. Have changed the fuse and checked the impeller which is completely seized and will need replacing. I checked the voltage coming in to the impeller and it was only registering 2.3V. The leisure battery is fully charged at 12V+. I am assuming thatt I should have more than 2.3V coming through. Has anyone suggestion(s) as to the possible reason?
Thanks

Hi
If the pump is seized, are you sure the new fuse hasn’t blown? I suggest checking the voltage on both sides of the fuse. If you have 12V on one side and 0V on the other (for 2.3V read zero) the fuse is blown. If you have 0V on both sides of the fuse it sounds like an up-stream fuse has also blown so check all the fused in the fuse panel.
I don’t know where the toilet supply comes from and from memory I don’t think it’s on the wiring diagram either so if you can’t fine any blown fuses it would be a case of tracing the wire back to source. Somebody who has had the problem may come in and help but it would be a very good idea to put the year in your profile since the wiring varies between early and later models.

Thanks Brod I'll check the fuses again. Point taken about the vehicle year and have entered in the profile.

Re: Duetto Low Voltage
Brod beat me to it regarding the fuse. Our Duetto had the same problem when we first bought it. No flush or the pump running too slow to flush properly and lights would dim.
I cleaned the contacts in the fuse box on the control panel and changed all the fuses. Occasionally spaying the contacts with contact cleaner kept the problem at bay.

I posted this before but when you look for a replacement flush pump I got this one, exactly the same as the original and a lot cheaper than from other suppliers, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] when you wire it up solder and heatshrink the connections then seal the connection with the heatshrink with the glue inside for a totally waterproof join.
