Hi everyone, I have a 1998 Symphony on a 2.0l petrol Peugeot Boxer base. I've had it since November 2020 but due to the pandemic and mechanical problems my wife and 2 dogs haven't stayed out overnight in it yet. Although we have enjoyed using it as a day van quite a lot. The main issue is that I knew there were things wrong with it when I bought it but didn't know how much was wrong with it until I got it home and found out. I didn't take it back as I decided I would sort it out and that is what I've been doing with the help of various garages around the area and of course doing many jobs myself. I have found that sourcing spares to be a bit taxing and long winded but I've mostly achieved in finding what I need. The biggest and most difficult was a new petrol tank which I found thanks to Peugeot customer services and was fitted by a local garage. I've had the engine serviced and a new cam belt fitted and I've changed all the ignition leads, plugs and coils and have renewed/refurbished the gas water heater in the habitation. There isn't enough room on this page for the rest of the stuff but enough to say we are waiting for a bit warmer weather to be off for our first night out. Thank you for allowing me to join the group.

Hi and welcome to the forum from the East Neuk of Fife.
I'm sure you won't regret your decision since in my opinion AutoSleeper vehicle conversions of the late nineties and the noughties are much better quality than many later models (hard hat on!).
I firmly believe that spending any money required to keep the base vehicle going and any hab appliances working is money well spent, especially when you look at the cost of current models.
Enjoy your Symphony.

Re: New Member
I had that engine in a Harmony, was quite surprised how good it was, got 27Mpg on a very fast run to N Scotland and back in a bit of a minor emergency.
I'm sure a nearby native of yours will be in touch soon!!
