I went to the show today. I have only been twice in the past but I thought this was a smaller show.

Re: Today at the Caravan Show
That was an hour of my life I won't get back, didn't show anything of interest, £200k A class. Popup tents and why we had 5 minutes of Andrew Ditton playing crazy golf with his dog had no relevance to what was on display in NEC.
Coverage on YouTube from Bob Earnshaw and Jason from motorhome and caravan channel far better.
Won't bother tuning in to second night of coverage tonight.

Ditto. 3 luxury motorhome palaces, 3 micro caravans, 3 awnings, 3 tents, 3 pieces if outdoor furniture and 3 bbqs. Plus 3 'static caravans' that were more like residential park homes. It will probably feature more realistically priced campervans and caravans tonight but after last night I won't bother .

Re: Today at the Caravan Show
You just know these Ch5 programmes that attempt to bring a minority interest to a wider audience are going to be viewed as rubbish and lightweight to the aficionado.
It's just same with most Ch5 motorcycle programmes, might be of passing interest to the masses, but laughable to me.

Was this not just a long (boring) ad for the C&CC ?

Re: Today at the Caravan Show
I went to he NEC on Wednesday and had a most enjoyable day visiting the relevant stands that I pre planned to go and see (strangely non of them featured on channel 5)
The Andrew Ditton presentation was very good and informative.

Re: Today at the Caravan Show
I watched it last night on TV and cant say I was impressed.
If you are goung to do a program like that you need to be selective and pick products the majority on people would be intereested in. How many times have you seen waiting to buy a £300k motorhome for example.

Re: Today at the Caravan Show
I noticed they were quick to reveal the price of the high end stuff, shock and awe is the way the audience is supposed to react to six figure sums I guess.
But no mention of the cost of the camper vans etc they looked at.. Too mundane I suppose..
